Visit Knighton

A lovely, bustling market town just five miles from Wigwam Holidays Knighton. There are lots of fascinating places to spend a few hours and really get to know the local area and traditions. 

National walking trails 

The glamping site is close to three beautiful national walking trails. Offa’s Dyke Path, Glyndwr's Way and the newly opened Heart of Wales line are all stunning walks and well worth building into your glamping break. There are also lots of lovely walks around the glamping site so if you fancy trailing your own way, you can do that from your very own doorstep.

Elan Valley Dams

Dont miss visiting this stunning area. A rich and vibrant history dating back to the Stone Age. Learn all about the history and gelogoy at the visitor centre before deciding which trail you fancy walking (or cycling) and enjoying the views. Or simply drive around the four dams, taking time to enjoy the scenery.

Phil Price Rally School

 Yes, free WiFi provided but not guaranteed. The passwords are in a folder in the cabin.
Three, Kite and Buzzard are 30 metres apart. Owl, our new cabin is the opposite side of the road from Kite and Buzzard. Owl is slightly bigger than the other two and the front of the cabin is completely glassed. Red Kite cabin accepts pets, Buzzard and Owl do not.
Two adults, and there is a sofa bed suitable for two children, for a booking request of more than two adults please contact the host direct. Children are classed as under 16s. No charge for children

1 large or 2 small dogs in Red Kite, £8 per night, no dogs in Buzzard or Owl.
Each cabin has a grassed area suitable for children to play, there are two wooden gates into the site which we ask guests to keep closed if there are children or dogs on site. There is also a grassed area between Kite and Buzzard.
Yes. Each cabin has two sets of steps onto the decking.
No campfires or personal BBQs allowed. Each cabin has its own fire pit and Kite and Buzzard have their own wood fired pizza oven - fire starter packs and logs are available to purchase as extras. We plan to instal a wood fired pizza oven in Owl later this year (2024)

Yes parking is next to the cabins. There is room for 2 cars at each cabin.

Greyhound in Llangunllo 2 miles (no food), Castle Inn Knucklas 2.5 miles (food). Knighton and Beguildy also have pubs serving food. Opening times can change between Winter and Summer months.
Knighton ( 5 miles) has four takeaways: a Chinese, Indian, kebab/pizza and a fish and chip shop. The Castle Inn in Knucklas also does takeaways, not every night. They have different opening hours in Summer and Winter.
 Co-op in Knighton (5 miles), Presteigne also has food shops.
Train stations in Knighton (5 miles), Knucklas ( 2.5 miles), Llangunllo (2 miles). Local bus services in Knighton and Presteigne.
No, it is spring or borehole water with UV filters, water tested every 12 months.
Yes, it is a traditional Welsh hill beef and sheep farm.
Yes, this is available as an optional extra: fairy lights, bunting, banners, 1 helium balloon and 6 latex balloons, cost £30.00.  You are welcome to take the balloons home with you but please leave the banners and bunting, thank you.
