Laxdale Holiday Park Wigwams

Laxdale Holiday Park is a small family-run site set in peaceful tree lined surroundings. We provide first-rate facilities for campers, touring caravans, motor vans and self-catering holidaymakers. Facilities are modern but the park retains the traditional friendly atmosphere that is typical of the Western Islands. Located 1.5 miles from the historic town of Stornoway, the park is an ideal centre from which to explore the beautiful Islands of Lewis and Harris.

Our Wigwam Cabins are located 40m from the toilet/shower block. Showers are free and a laundry facility is also provided on site. Parking is close to but not beside the Wigwam Cabins. The Wigwam Cabins have views over croft land to Laxdale river estuary and to the nearby town of Stornoway.

 We have two additional wooden Wigwam cabins on our site! Each Wigwam includes an electric light, panel heater, standard UK household sockets, mattresses and picnic bench outside.

You can choose from our smaller 'Wee Brave' Wigwam that sleeps 3 adults and 1 child or our larger 'Big Chief' Wigwam, accommodating up to 4 adults and 1 child. Each Wigwam has a raised platform and mattresses for sleeping which convert into a cushioned seating and living area with free standing table for use during the day. Pillows are provided but guests must provide their own sleeping bags. The small kitchen area is equipped with a fridge (with ice box), a microwave and a kettle.
