Shiloh Wigwams, Isle of Skye

Shiloh Wigwams is situated in the small township of Breakish on the Isle of Skye. We are only 5 miles from the Skye Bridge and 2 miles from Broadford, the 2nd largest village on the island. We are in a great central location for being able to visit all parts of this fantastic island and its surrounding areas.

Our deluxe en-suite Wigwams are for a maximum of 2 persons, they are sited at the rear of our garden where we run our Bed and Breakfast, facing South which means you can enjoy spectacular sun rises over the hills of Sleat from the comfort of your bed or from the seating area on the private decking. The view facing west from our garden is of Beinn na Caillich (hill of the old woman), which is one of the Red Cuillins.

After a days exploring Skye you can relax and unwind on your own private decking area, where you can spot a deer or two.

Only a short 15-20 minute walk away you could find yourself on the sandy beaches of Ashaig, a lovely spot to watch the sunset.

There is a licenced restaurant only 250m down the road. You also have a large selection of restaurants, cafes, take-aways and bars in the village of Broadford. There you will also find a supermarket, 24 hour petrol station, hospital, ATM's, post office, pharmacy and a number of art galleries. Always worth a visit is the Market Square with resident antiques shop and lovely gift shop selling accessories and gifts at affordable prices.  Broadford is also the home of the famous Isle of Skye Candles.

We are only 16 miles from the small fishing village of Elgol, which can only be accessed from Broadford. Here you will enjoy the best boat trips on Skye, taking you into Loch Coruisk in the heart of the Cuillin Moutains or day trips to the small isles of Eigg, Rhum or Canna. On these boat trips you are guaranteed to see some of the sea life surrounding Skye. Portee is about a 30 minute drive, Uig (Ferry port to the outer isles) is around a 50 minute drive.

For wildlife lovers, only a 25 minute drive away is the village of Kylerhea. Here you can walk to a viewing hide and hopefully spot otters, seals, and cormorants, herring gulls and lots of other varieties of birds.
