Glamping in Speyside

Wigwam Holidays Glenlivet shares its name with one of Scotland’s finest whiskies, very fitting we think, as the site is one of Wigwam Holidays finest locations. We are based just at the end of the Main street in Tomintoul, famous for being the highest village in the Highlands. Come and stay with us to find the perfect retreat, escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy getting back to nature. Whether you are looking to relax in the beautiful scenery or get active and enjoy some sporting pursuits, everyone in the family is sure to find a holiday to remember at Wigwam Holidays Glenlivet.

The Great Outdoors

Nestled in the Cairngorm National Park, Wigwam Holidays Glenlivet has an abundance of  natural beauty. Native Scots pines are surrounded by the gentle rolling peaks of the Cairngorm mountains. Sitting out on your deck at night, you can look up to a sea of stars and enjoy the site's dark sky pedigree. You don’t need to worry about staying warm, with fire pits you’ll be nice and cosy even outside your cabin. For lovers of the outdoors, there is so much to do around the Glenlivet estate.

Bike Glenlivet

If you’re looking for a thrill or just a fun day out, the Glenlivet trail centre opened just a few years ago and provides mountain biking for all abilities. Cycling is a great way to experience the outdoors and it doesn’t have to be scary. Watch the trees flow by as you cruise down the hills while experiencing the stunning views of this very special estate. With a cafe, shop and bike hire, there's very few reasons not to enjoy a great day out there!

Skiing in the Highlands

If you’re planning a snowy trip in the winter, the Lecht ski centre is just a ten minute drive away. The Lecht enjoys fairly consistent snow (by Scottish standards!) so it's a good option if you're looking to book a weekend away skiing far in advance. With equipment hire, cafe and ski school, it's a fantastic place to give your family a taste of real British skiing!

The Speyside Whisky Trail

As we mentioned earlier, no description of activities local to Wigwam Holidays Glenlivet would be complete without mentioning whisky and that particularly famous single malt - The Glenlivet. Tours of the distillery are available all year round and there are a few different options on offer depending on your budget or how much you love whisky. The Glenlivet isn’t the only distillery in the area either. Being on The Malt Whisky Trail, this part of Scotland is home to many different whisky distilleries including the local Tomintoul, so you don’t have to go far to get a taste of the good stuff.

Whether you’re looking for a cosy winter retreat or a summer highland getaway, Wigwam Holidays Glenlivet has everything you need for a truly great holiday in the great outdoors.
