Spalding is the largest market town in the area, situated on the river Welland, with an attractive waterfront, boasting grand Georgian terraces, tree lined streets and pretty riverside walks.
Much of the town is now an outstanding conservation area and offers a traditional shopping centre, busy markets (Tuesdays and Saturdays) and plenty of history.
Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Gardens
Overlooking Spalding's historic Market Place, the South Holland Centre is a lively venue with a cafe, cinema and an impressive programme of live shows.
Springfields Outlet Shopping Centre and Festival Gardens
You will probably pass this centre on the way to our site. Springfields is situated just off the A16, about a mile from Spalding town centre, and is a very popular outlet centre with beautiful festival gardens to walk round. The centre includes Frankie and Bennys, Marks & Spencer, Next and Costa coffee as well as other well known shopping brands.
Water Taxi
Enjoy a leisurely 30 minute cruise on the river Welland between Spalding's two main shopping areas.

Nature Reserves
There are a number of RSBP nature reserves nearby around the wash marshes. These provide a great day out for families with children. Frampton Marsh is at the forefront of habitat nature and conservation planning. There are wildlife explorer packs available for children to hire and a special Kids Zone that has been specially created for childrens activities.
Spalding Fun Farm
Situated in the village of Weston, approximately 4 miles from the site, a visit will keep all of your children active with hours of fun for all the family. Now includes High Wire for the older age group!
Baytree Garden Centre
Adjacent to the Fun Farm and well sign-posted, Baytree is much more than just a garden centre. One of the largest in the county it boasts over 16 acres of retail area. Gardeners and the whole family will find plenty to explore.
Spalding Pumpkin Festival
This is an annual event which takes place in October. The festival is a celebration of local horticulture and harvest with a mix of stalls from local charities and producers.
There is also various entertainment throughout the day.
