How many Wigwam Cabins does your site have?

We have 6 Single Unit Bothy Pods and 1 Geodome.

When is your site open? 

We are open all year round.

Do you allow dogs/pets? If so, is there a pet charge?  

No pets are allowed in the glamping units with the exception of assistance dogs. Dogs are allowed on site on the touring pitches, there is a maximum of 3 per unit, with no charge.

Is the site suitable for children (i.e. do you have a kid’s play area)? 

Yes, there is a large play area with a climbing frame and trim trail.

During the summer July-Sept, there are also free activities for children staying on site, such as arts & crafts & themed activity days.

We also run a MTB skills cycle academy weekly throughout the summer holidays primarily aimed at 6-16yr olds led by a fully qualified instructor.

We are situated within 500 yards of the Sherwood Forest visitor centre and Go Ape with the Zog trail. Cycling trails direct from the site, and local pony trekking, fishing, and golf

Do you accept groups, parties, or celebrations?

We do accept groups but these need to be booked with the campsite. We have a “quiet please” policy after 10pm, so we do not encourage parties or large group gatherings for celebrations, stag or hen parties,  

Do you allow campfires?

No. we do not permit wood burning on site, so fire pits are not allowed, but BBQ’s are acceptable as long as they are erected above floor level.

What is included in Bothy Pods? 

Each Bothy Pod includes:

  • A double bed with mattress/seating.
  • A kitchenette with fridge, kettle, toaster, and microwave.
  • Plates, side plates, bowls, mugs, glasses, cutlery, a clothes rail, storage boxes, and crockery.
  • 2 comfy armchairs
  • A fire log burner
  • Emergency night torch, and two outdoor camping chairs.


The Geodome includes:

  • A double bed with mattress.
  • A sofa bed
  • Bunk bed suitable for 2 children
  • A dining table with 4 chairs & 2 stools
  • A boot tray, coat rack, and wardrobe.
  • A kitchenette with sink and cold-water tap, a fridge, kettle, toaster, electric hob, crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and cooking utensils


What do I need to bring? 

Please bring:

  • Bedding and pillows
  • Blankets 
  • Cleaning products 
  • Tea towels and towels 
  • Pots, pans and cooking utensils (Bothy pods only)


Is there parking next to the cabins? If not how close is the parking area?

Yes, there is parking next to the Pods, but also a dedicated parking area 50 m from the pods.

What time can I check in?  

3pm is the earliest arrival time.

What is the latest time I can check in? 

9pm from March - October

6pm from November - February

later arrivals should contact the site with ETA to ensure someone can welcome them.

What time do I need to vacate the glamping units?

Please check-out by 10am on the morning of your departure.

Do you have a shop/reception onsite and when is it open?

Yes, our shop is open from 8am-9pm in March - October and 9am - 6pm in November - February.

How many toilets and showers do you have onsite?

We have toilet and shower facilities with family, individual and accessible rooms.  There are also baby-changing facilities. There are 2 blocks each for male & female with 16 toilets & showers. 2 family facility rooms, and 2 accessible facility rooms.

How close is the nearest pub or restaurant (miles)?

1.5 miles from the site.

How far to the nearest supermarket (miles)?

1.5 miles from the site.
