Terms and Conditions of occupancy and access to Solway View Caravan & Camping Site, Ross Bay, Borgue, Kirkcudbright, DG6 4TR.

Travel Insurance: We recommend that guests have an appropriate level of travel insurance in place for their needs.

Solway View Wigwams

ARRIVAL: Available for arrival between 3pm - 8pm.

DEPARTURE: Wigwam & site must be vacated by 11am.

Access: We/our agents reserve the right of access to the Wigwam Cabins at any reasonable time during your stay, notice will be given where possible.

CS Caravan & Camping Pitches

ARRIVAL: Pitches available for arrival between 12 noon - 8pm.

DEPARTURE: Pitch & site must be vacated by 11am.

Late Arrivals

Late arrival must be arranged in advance with site owners.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in the Wigwam Cabins, Cooking Hut or WC block.

Booking

The person(s) making the booking will be held responsible for the booking. The original booking information cannot be altered/exceeded without prior agreement with N R Picken. The term stated on the booking information can not be altered/extended, without prior agreement with N R Picken. Please note the owner reserves the right to void/cancel the booking where alterations to the booking are unacceptable. The booking is not transferable to any 3rd party.

Campfires & BBQs

Campfires & BBQ's are permitted in designated areas only. Fires/BBQ's should never be left unattended and should always be kept under control. Fires/BBQ's must be extinguished prior to retiring for the evening.

Pets

Well-behaved pets welcome. Max 2 pets allowed per Wigwam/pitch. In Wigwam Cabins, please bring your pet's own bedding/basket & never leave your pet unattended in the Wigwam. On site, pets must be on a lead at all times. Surrounding Farmland & Woodland, pets must be on lead at all times. You are responsible for cleaning up after your pet. Failure to comply with the pet rules will result in you being asked to leave the site and no refunds will be given.

Deposit

Please note deposits are non-refundable. If a cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to arrival date, where possible, alternative dates will be offered. A Full refund given if cancellation made by N R Picken/ Solway View.

Payment

Please make a payment cheque(s) payable to N R Picken. Alternatively, we accept Credit/Debit card payment, please call - 01557 870206 to make Credit/Debit Card Payments. Note - charges apply when credit cards used.

Balance/Final payment

Where a remaining accommodation fee is payable on arrival, please note cash and card payments only acceptable. Cheques are not acceptable.

Booking Confirmation

Bookings will be confirmed on receipt of a completed booking form & required payment and will become binding at that time only. Confirmation will be made by Solway View/Wigwam Holidays on same date by telephone/email.

Cancellation/No-show Policy

If cancelled lose 25% deposit if the balance remains outstanding. 

If fully paid; 

Up to 4 weeks before arrival receive 75% refund

Up to 3 weeks before arrival receive 50% refund

Up to 2 weeks before arrival receive 25% refund

Less than 2 weeks before arrival, no refund available

The above terms and conditions only apply to bookings that are made online at www.wigwamholidays.com. Bookings made directly with the site owner may be subject to individual and separately agreed terms.

Behaviour and conduct

We really hope you enjoy your time on site. We ask that you please always respect your fellow guests & endeavour to behave appropriately. While alcohol is not sold on site; guests are permitted to bring own and responsible drinking is expected. Move no vehicles & keep noise levels low, between hours 11pm and 7am. Your children are your responsibility and must be supervised appropriately. Your pets are your responsibility and must be supervised appropriately. Offenders will be asked to leave and no refunds will be given.

Litter/waste

Please keep pitch/Wigwam Cabin inside & outside areas tidy. On departing pitch/Wigwam Cabin areas should be in a tidy, litter free condition. Take/clear your waste to the bins/recycling points provided. Where no designated bin is provided for an item/object; please take item home for disposal. We reserve the right to apply an extra charge for unauthorised litter disposal or unsatisfactory conditions.

Solway View Campsite Property/Wigwam Cabin Property & contents

Please ensure that you take all reasonable care in the use of Solway View/NR Picken property and contents including the security of the property. Report any damages as they occur. We reserve the right to charge for all and any repairs, losses or replacements necessitated by the negligent act or omission of any of your party, guests or invitees. If necessary this may include an administration charge.

Loss, damage or injury

Solway View/NR Picken Take no responsibility for loss, damage or injury to you or any of your party or property as a consequence of this agreement or the occupancy following on thereon. We recommend you have adequate travel and property insurance.

Environment

Solway View/N R Picken is committed to providing a good quality service whilst minimising the environmental impact of our services. We are committed to sustainable tourism and have achieved GOLD STANDARD with the Green Tourism Business Scheme. We have provided recycling points on site for tins/cans/bottles. Compost bins are provided for raw food waste. Reclaimed wood/FSC wood has been used for all benches & the cooking hut. We are replacing all suitable light bulbs to energy efficient bulbs. Solar lights will be used whenever possible. 'Tina the Turner' - our wind turbine helps power our site & Solar Panels help heat the water for the WC/Shower block.
